WHAT IS THE CONCORDENTARY?

The Concordentary is a living, open archive. A digital resource for prayer, study, and preservation of the liturgical Christian tradition. Its name is a combination of concordance and commentary.

Its aim is to be a little of both: a place to find things, and a place to understand them.

NOTE: This is an unofficial archive, offered freely and without institutional affiliation. Errors will exist. For worship and study, always defer to your parish's authorized texts. The best copy is the one worn thin by use.

Even if this website disappears, the repository remains.

This site is an homage to the early days and community of the internet, with a modern purpose.
It was hand-built, poorly maintained, and remains permanently under construction. The original index HTML file was archived on an old hard drive and put back to use 23 years later, together with this page's modern additions.
~Quiet enough to be felt.
